buying paint for airbrush spraying

Can any one help? am trying to purchase paint to use in an airbrush to spray a severn lifeboat, have codes and colours but struggling to get any one to reconsie or supply paint. Also what is best paint to use can get spray cans from halfords (bright orange) but wish to use an air brush and mix own if possible, any one know any good sites? thanks in advance for any help

Do a search for Revell Airbrush enamels. Not sure if they will do your colours - its a subset of the normal Revell email colours, but they are ready thinned for airbrush. Failing this many Motor Factors will mix paint to your specification. They normally load in eaerosol cans, but would probably do it in tins. You may need to thin it for your airbrush.

If you use the revell airbrush paints, you may find they need a little extra thinning.  I know I did

As Barrie mentioned, you may find a local automotive paint supplier who will mix the paint, can fill an aerosol for you for the bulk spraying AND put any excess mixed paint into a pot for you to thin and airbrush the detail bits.

I used one in Ipswich who did just this for me.

Hallo, If, by any chance it is Acrylic paint you end up using do not leave it in the gun for any length of time as it air dries very quickly & it is a devil to clean the gun.  Nemesis
