It depends if you want to go all out for speed or endurance.
The 800 Motor isn't really fast enough for speed for that you would need an 850 or 900.
An 800 will only rev up to about 4500, I have 2 of these in a 6 foot Destroyer which powers along fine.
MFA supply a recommended prop for this motor, it might be worth trying that as it is a 2 blade plastic prop which is only about £2-00.

For power a 12 volt 7 or 9 Ah battery should be fine, but for a bit of extra speed a 12 volt 5Ah will give you reduced duration but as it is much lighter better performance.

Just some updated pictures of the boat, all RC gear is now fitted and is more or less ready for its test run  :-)

Thanks Karl, just needs a little bit more paint and some windws now.....i managed to get a 40A ESC from someone i know who happened to have one spare, got it fot free too which makes it even better!! :}

Some more pictures of the PL4, just the windows to put in and the various fittings and lights i have got for it. then shes done  :-) hope you guys like it so far??
