Fairmile D Deans Marine or Kingston Moldings

Hi people

Has anyone done the sums (costing) as to which of these is the better model..
I looked at Westbournes Kingston kit and the numbers start to get very big.
advice comments please?

You get what you pay for..Kingston hulls are very good..I have not seen any as good.  peter "not connected Kingston Moldings"

Do you mean better or cheaper? If your sole crieteria is the cost then buy the Deans kit, but you might regret not paying the extra for a far superior product. They don't come any better than Kingston's mouldings, and I've no axe to grind either way.

Same here I have found kingston's stuff excellent and well worth the money. I can't praise the quality enough. I'd go for their hulls every time if there was a choice.

Hi,
I'm sure you are right,   ...I am a bit scared that having bought the more expensive option I may not be skilled enough to bring it to a good finish.   How much extra "modeling" would be involved if I went the Kingston route with the whole fittings set?

Banjo,
I too looked at both.
I chose the Deans Marine purely on cost.
I havent even opened the box yet though, but it doesnt matter.
I am sure I can make something decent from it, and so will you.
Yes the Precision Controlls Fittings are superb, but pricey, so if I decide to use some I will, but sparingly.
I expect to end up with a Hybrid.
I like deans hulls and their motors too!!
Just go the way YOU want to.
