Lovely car I never get tired of working on them , I have a gearbox to overhaul this week from a MK 3,the customer is spending a small fortune on it. I will just do the box & then he will fit it himself. It must be hard to lose a car like that, are you thinking of getting another ??. Thanks for the photo. Mick B.

sadly mick, i'll never be able to afford another like that one........unless i come up on the lottery......then i'd jump at the chance.
so nice to drive, rock solid and really "chuckable" into the bends.........so much nicer than the MG C that i had a couple of years ago.

The C was a nice highway car but too heavy in the front end, however they only made 8900 hundred of them 4500 hundred were convertibles & about 450 were automatic. It is my guess the C will become a collectors car in the not too distant future. Its a bit of a sleeper. The market for vintage British & American  cars has suffered terribly because of the recession here in North America & also the Uppies are moving on. The young generation want their rice rockets complete with their laptops. MGB what kind of car is that & who makes it???. Talk about dumb & dumber. Mick B.

That is one nice model you got there. I think if a C came along now & you had the money it would be a good buy(didnt post yesterday had a disaster (wedding) to go . Divorce rate here is about 55%. It cost the parents around fifty thousand dollars, think of all the nice boats we could build with that ??, so much for a recession. One of my customers came to pay a bill Saturday morning, driving his newest toy ,a 1964 Ferrari luso in fully restored condition ( cost probably nine hundred thousand at least) just one of 17 cars that he owns & he was disputing a $1600.00 dollar bill for 3 months. At least he drives them all. stay in touch hope to have some pictures up on the forum soon. Mick B.

Yes photo's of the Midget please!!

My son transport's cars, most are new for main dealers but today he has collected this for a private customer to move down to Birmingham in the morning, engine has no power so its going to a specialist for repair...looks reasonable but owner thinks its the turbos...Hmmm!!

JB,  What make / model is that in the photo ?, I don't recognise it here in Canada, it looks fast. THE boss has a 2009 Golf GTI which is a hoot to drive. At the rate she is getting tickets she will be walking soon then I get to do the driving. I drive a Chrysler Mini van ( a brick with a V6 3.3 litre & terrible handling & poor brakes, but it can carry loads of junk & the 2 dogs love it)

I wasn't going to do it but what the heck!....

this was my "no R/C" kit - sadly sold a few years ago when I ran out of somewhere to store it. :((

180BHP Rover V8 and weighed the same as an (old) Ford Fiesta - interesting!

The Healeys have so much charm, but I like the MGB best for being so reliable & reasonable to maintain. Lots of parts & easy to get.Mick B.

Correct..1990 model twin turbo I believe,  I was hoping it would be here for a few hours but son was only here 15 minutes so no time to have a good look, I don't know if he will be asked to bring it back from the repair shop, it is a local car though, maybe 15 miles away, I've not seen one on the road for some time.

Of course you can always Go Back to the Future, especially if you happened to have grown up across the wall in East Germany.

I would have loved having one of these big toys to play with compared to that missile-firing cardboard version I got out of the back of a comic book in the late '60s.
