Hi,

How do I etch a brass nameplate, suitable for putting on a boat stand?

Thanks

Take it down to your local trophy or awards shop and have them do it.  I had mine done (I supplied the brass plate for under $10.00.

The neatest way is engraving not etching for something as deep as that.

Mine was done with a nameplate engraving tool which gave a nice deep cut to fill with stove enamel which was then dressed with fine wet and dry and finally polished.
