incidentally, the swastika still stands on the wreck of the bizmark, its been down there for almosy 60 years!

I guess they'll want to go down there and paint over it :D

I think everyones summed it up well

if the innocent like us use it its fine

If its used whilst marching through the streets of Berlin then its wrong and we have to worry.

Grant :)

Hmmmm, just a thought:
The "march through Berlin" will be not the problem, but how wants Mrs. Merkel explain this ban to her "friend" George W. Bush?
As I have read the Nazi-scene in the USA is the biggest worldwide?
I take that whole discussion as just what it is: A whole bucket of §*@?ß%, started by someody who wants himself to be noticed.

In hands like ours, whith historical background and just an interest as an detail on a model, I am sure it will be not abused.

Jörg

P.S.: Before Polaris or anybody else feels offended by my statement with the start of the discussion: I`ve meant Mrs.Merkel with that, not him or anyone else! Sorry if somebody felt blamed by that- please take my excuse. This excuse will not include Mrs. Merkel and her backblowers who can not take it as what it is.... NUFFINK TO DISCUSS ABOUT!
We have other problems, which need to be solved.....- waste your time there!

By making it illegal you add to the mystique and the outlawlessness of it makes it more attractive to idiots.

If you do not ban it you leave it open to parody, and this means that it is de-mytified and devalued.

For the brits, we remeber comedians (Russ Abbot I think) marching around in an SS uniform that was too small, goose stepping giving over Nazi salute, and shouting Zieg Heil. Totally rediculous and a bloody good laugh.
It really took the pi55 out of Nazis. Some germans may have been offended, but this is one way to handle the swastika issue.

And who can forget Fredy Star doing the same in grey school boy shorts, welly boots, SS Cap and toothbrush moustache.
My two cents

As i mentioned it befor, the ban in germany is ok, but other countries can handle it by themself.

I read the news up and down but never found any evidence of trying to ban the swastika in the EU. Smells like a big hoax...

Jorg,

No offence taken whatsoever, though I know what you mean - thankyou for your consideration.

It's all in the past, and in the past it should remain. History is another thing though, and in that light only should it be remembered/used.
