Next build advice
« on: November 16, 2010, 07:04:42 pm »

Hello all, I am a new member with 1 model under my belt, a Precedent KD Perkasa wooden hull and am looking for advice for my next build.

I am thinking of building a model cabin cruiser type  something similar to a  Fairey Huntsman, as my interest is more in the superstructure than making ancillary part such as cannons, torpedo’s etc. as in the Perkasa

The problem is that I was not impressed by the die cut parts or building instructions on the first Precendent kit I had.

I would like to build something from plans only but would require detailed instructions on the build as I have no problem with wood cutting.  I prefer to be more hands on and create the finished item myself not have it pre cut.

I am wondering if anyone can recommend detailed plans and/or supplies and if this is at all possible or do I need to revert to a kit ?

Please help as I am flailing without an active project.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Mark.

Hi marlin, Traplet Publishing is the retail outlet for the famous 'International Marine Modelling' magazine plans and is also worth a look:
