One of those videos that i watch with sadness.At least he got his power plant back. No doubt he will be able to reuse a lot of his
fittings. It is of course not only steam but electric that can combuste. With greater use of Lipoys there is the potentile for worse fires.

I think you will find someone set it on fire, as when the tug came up to push it in he was stopped from doing it by the looks of things.  or there would have been no bunny jokes , unless I have upset dead bunny collectors.

  You say that in jest, but when I worked in the hobby store in town, here, a chap came in an bought a real nice advanced kit for a canoe. I asked him about the project. He said it he was putting his fathers ashes into it and sending it out on the lake on fire.  His late father's wishes apparently.

  Remember that one Martin. It was in the Welland canal a couple of hours south of us. Made quite a stir in the local news media. The bridge tender was drunk. Apparently the captain was still in the bridge (on the boat). When the contact was made, he managed to duck down enough that the ( road) bridge just cleared over him. The vessel was towed to Hamilton and unload, and eventually scrapped.

Martin may remember the Wickstead incident last May when Andy, in retrieving my experimental steam jet boat, pushed it under right under the water, because it was on "fire" - he thought it was an electric boat and didn't understand it was supposed to have flames coming out of the burner.

p.s. When the ice has finally melted (next May?), the steam jet boat will be on the water again testing its latest modifications!
