Hello, Generally a flat plate, about 12" to 24" down with exhaust tubes of various diameters coming through.

Funnels often house air intakes, too.  For engine air, cabin ventilation, etc.  Exhaust(s) on top, since heat rises and helps separate exhaust gas from breathable air.  Here is the funnel on my Loyal VOLUNTEER.

Hi,
not sure how much help this will be. I have attached a pic of the Clyde turbine steamer Duchess of Hamilton during the fitting of her rear funnel.
Looks to me like a single large tube.
On most of the plans i have seen for turbine steamers the air intake is separate to the funnels.

Sounds like an interesting project ...
