I think he needs a much larger funnel- the current one looks very underscale, other than that It's a lovely little launch, the steam plant looks very tidy.

Easiest way would be to just sleeve the one that is already on with some aluminium or heat resistant plastic tubing- this will keep all the critical tube sizes correct, but will appear bigger to the eye an in scale with the rest of the boat.

Bernhard,

What hull is your friend using?

From the photo it looks as though he has trimmed a little off the top of the hull to reduce the height. Is that correct?

Excellent woodwork. Wish I was good enough to turn out work like that. Can't wait to see it finished.

Bob.

Thanks for the info on the hull. At 50" that is a lot of boat.

Pity I don't have the room to build one that size.

Currently waiting for my River Queen.

Good evening !
Hello Bernard , you are gone for another splendid project. I am planing to built one like yours and now ,  I have seen that you cut the hull to make it lower (she look nicer) , I am really excited. :-))
Is it what you cut which is shown on the photo? If so, how many ckinks did you cut out (2?) ? It seems that you cut the top (surrounding belt ?) , then an extra piece of hull. Can you explain why?
Also; is there any passage (hole ?) already made to run the shaft for the propeller through the queel ?
Last question: did you ordered it with wood finish paint or did you do it yourself???
Thank you for showing and sparing your talent! :-))
Regards.

Hi......Thanks ..bot . it is my friend Poul there is the builder on this,,,,,, yes it was with wood finish...and it look a lot better now...first he did it...so he didn't neat to much ballast in it,,,he did cut what you see in the photo,,,and came the surrounding belt back ...it is a littel more heavy?,,,and is different than the clinker.no you have to make the Hull your selves,,no problem... i will try to post photos bot they are JPG,,,
