Hi Russ, good looking stuff.

Can I just add here that David at Electronize Speed controllers has donated two FR15H/Hvr speed controllers FOC for my bid to the challenge for Loch Ness.

Both Russ and I have been donated Materials  from Dave Metcalf with money donations from numerous other Manufacturers including MMB, Model Slipway, Steve tranter and other up and coming manufacturers that in todays climate are struggling and yet still find money to donate.

We thank you all, and in the passing of time I will publish a list of all those who signed up, and to those who have done or will donate in cash, WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU ALL, on behalf of the RNLI.

MANY THANKS.

Yes, well stated Neil..

I have made the main and aft battery trays along with positioning the motors to see if they line up ok before i fix the brackets, the white gadget is a low resistance water sensor that will drop through the hole in the battery tray and sit in the base of the hull, as soon as it detects water over the two contacts  it will start a bilge pump....

Well i made a start on fitting all the electronics today despite feeling a bit under the weather, two Action P98 24volt speed controllers, Action P102 distribution board and i will be using my Jeti receiver and MUI sensor so that i can monitor the batteries and motors for voltage/current....

I will come up to you sometime next week matey, if theres any problems we can sort them, eventually i shall make another floor that will sit over the electronics and that will be the floor for the wheelhouse, the idea being that you lift the superstructure off to expose the wheelhouse interior and then lift this off to expose the electronics..

Well Russ's Clyde has finally been launched! We went down to our local sailing ground at Westport Lake, Stoke-on-Trent this afternoon to do some ballasting trials. All went well and there are no leaks, result. She just about fits in the back of my Peugeot 406 estate. Hope to be doing a powered trial in a day or so's time, Dave.   :-)) :-))

Well the boat performed brilliantly apart from the water being more like the North sea at times, thanks again to everyone who helped out, thanks Dave@Action for the supply of the electronics/speed controllers etc,  they were spot on...

Many thanks

You all deserve the highest accolades (wot a big word) for all the effort and expense you have put into this project. I certainly hope you raised a goodly sum for the RNLI. As a Lifeboat fan myself, may I say thanks to you all.
Hope to meet up with you at Blackpool. Cheers, Mick
