Caldercraft Peggy motor size
« on: January 29, 2011, 04:20:27 pm »

Hi Guys,
I wonder if you could help. I have just brought a second hand unstarted Caldercraft Peggy complete with R/C and motor. The problem I have is the motor looks rather big to me although I am only a begineer. It is a Buhler and the markings on the case are 0960V6V it casing measures 80mm and is about 50mm wide. Would this be OK to use or do I need to down size it and could you tell me what size prop I would need for this motor if I can use it?
Many thanks

YES, that would do fine......beautiful slow torquey motors that will spin a big prop withought breaking sweat, and will run off 6, 12 or even 18 volts......i have a few of them, and they are lovely.
