Hi Froggy,
Yes we are planning on go again this year, to one of the best club events on the model boating calender,
superb venue and club house facilities, plus a great bunch of people with an even greater sense of humour,
wonderful atmosphere.

If you can, it would be great to draw up a construction plan from the original so that the boat design can stay alive.....

A quick video of little part of F.M.Y.& P.B.C Classic & Vintage Model Boat Days 2010

                      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHJPgeUVAM4

Thanks for the video, I've only just seen it, brought back some good memories.

Swordsman, Sea Queen, Huntsman, Aerokits Crash Tenders, a flattie..Rossi 60 ?, did I see a Cigarette...Remora..Waverider ? and some others look familiar but I can't remember their names, the memory is not as sharp as it was !

There were always 5-6 Queens..most were petrol, I'm sure one had a cyclemaster...but then again..was it a Taplin Twin...

Most were diesel's, ED was popular...I had one myself, the glow's were usually in flatties and from Manchester or somewhere with flat calm lakes, not really suitable for Fleetwood, a 'millpond' day was uncommon...but made a change !

I'm hoping to visit at some point that weekend, I have a boat which would fit in...at least I think it would.

I did plan to replace the old electric gear with a more modern setup but now I'm wondering if a glow or even a diesel would be better, O.S 25 might work...just ?...I have a O.S. 10 marine but too small for a planing hull that weighs 6 lbs without running gear and R/C...plus the fuel...!

Wonder what's on Ebay...

I won't be able to do any plans for it until later this year possible earlier next,  as i'm busy with other builds at present that are taking up a lot of my time, but i think your suggestion is worth the effort, i will dig out my shape forming tool and take some measurements and draw up some plans for a 'copy' I will however promise to do a build log on the forum when i start restoring/finishing her but until then i will leave you with a few photos of how she is at present.

I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate it, and of course I would be happy to publish it on the web should you want that....
