i bought 2 square mtrs of solid oak flooring 22mm thick for 24 pound just started cutting up for planking and what a fantastic cheap way of getting quality oak
decking hull planking anyone else thought about doing it this way

I do the same for some other 'odd' hardwood bits.
Whenever I see someone throwing out surplus board I grab some.
The only downside is that all of mine are ony about 500-800mm long.

yeh out of that two mtrs i got 740 1300mm long 2mm thick plus i have got all the 1000mm 800mm 500mm 300mm to do yet but well cheap

hi, i have used cut offs from garage roof joist (pine) no knots in perfect built my latest boat out of it.
