My venom charger (over-priced Imax) came with a 5 Amp / 12v laptop psu as the mains supply - as long as the voltage from your 18v unit drops on load to around 12 to 15 v it should be okay if the current rating is up to it.

Check the polarity of the co-axial plug before you switch it on though.

I have recently acquired a Venom charger but no info as to how to operate same . is there any way I can obtain some readable instructions as to how to operate this unit.
It has got several leads and wire connectors for the usual array of batteries but that is all.
Has any one a copy of the instructions please..

Would have helped if you had specified which Venom charger you have.

Try here and scroll down to chargers.
