« on: April 13, 2011, 09:36:59 am »

To all you Glasgow owners out there,
I have a Glasgow paddle tug boat I wish to convert to independent drive on the paddle wheels to give better maneuverability
could anyone please tell me what size/type speed of motor and belt drive/pulleys and belts are best to use.

many thanks

I purchased 2 motor gearbox assys. from Clyde Model Boats, They are 300rpm at 12v and I have made a motor mount to carry them
both, and used meccano  sprockets and chain to drive the paddles.
Kim at Clyde Model Boats is a really nice guy and knows all about gear ratio,s for paddle boats and was a great help to me with my
Glasgow improvement.
