Hi.
Has anyone had any experience with orders from steamengines.co.uk ?
Only , I ordered a boiler from them in January , and was geven a completion date of Feb 19th , and am still waiting .
I have emailed and phoned numerous times , only to be given excuses and various delivery dates (all of which have come and gone ) .
Has anyone else any experience ?

Hi Dunc,
Have been reading your tale of woe on the other forum, pull the plug on him and get your money back, you have been very very patient.

Dunc - as George said, cancel the order and do what you need to do to get any money back - either via your card company or small claims court. Then place a new order with Maccsteam.

Hi.
Still no reply from Hemmens.
I will wait till the end of the week as I said , and then try to find out how to make a claim in the small claims court.
But to be honest , I am just so hacked off with the whole fiasco.

Don't waste your time and money doing that he just ignores them; the only successful method that I know of is to make an unannounced visit to his premises with heavies if needs be, and don't take no for an answer.

John has had my MaxV4 for repair since last July, and I'm waiting for it's safe return.

He has had to manufacture some replacements parts, and order bearings from Taiwan.

I called him again today and left a message, he is a senior gentleman and probably not rushing around like the many of us, so we need to be patient.

Hi.
I think I was VERY patient, what got my goat was that every time I contacted him for the last 2 months , he kept telling me I would have it by the end of that week.
If he had just set a realistic target , there would have been no issue .

Hi He an old fox, be very careful, when I was building SL Lady Beatrice, I paid JH £575 up front for a boiler, 10 months later still no boiler,!!!! it take ages, to get a refund, and he took £75 off me for cancelling the order, !!!!, personal visit is the only answer, and make sure his wife is in, !!! he hates trouble when she's home, !!!
best of luck,
