Hi all!

I've just found and signed up on this magnificent forum.  A friend pointed it out to me.  Thanks Edi.

My first boat was an Attack Class Patrol Boat (rc) back in 1975, followed quickly by a 1/72 Daring Class Destroyer HMAS Vampire scratch built.  She was huge but my technique was poor back then.  So I started on a 6 foot scale scratch built Oberon Class Submarine.  This unfortunately was a never completed project, and the hull with one side completed was dumped at a council tip in FNQ.  Very sad day, but that's what being transferred and having wife and kids does.

So in recent times, I've started using plastics to simulate steel and aluminum construction, and prefer 1/24 workboats.  My RNLI 44' lifeboat is just about complete.

TaskForce 72 has always been a temptation, however the long ( I hate driving) drive across town detracts.  Also I don't currently have a 1/72 ship built or under construction.  Maybe TaskForce 24/50 has a ring to it???

Anyway, sorry for not posting here before down below.  Oh, in real world I work on the water, having a Master IV and MED 1.

Look forward to learning from the combined group,

Over at Wynnum.  Be great if the Port of Brisbane allowed RC boating on their lake.
