Tenby shmemby. I've just seen a pic of the new Shannon class boat thats replacing the Mersey twin jet powered to sat waiting for you kit makers now with cheque book in hand  %%

Yes, that jet boat looks GREAT. I think Im right in saying that Models by Design have already may the first prototype of this and I think you may find they will produce this one as well. From what I have seen of the first one, they are an EXCELLENT quality hull and wheelhouse.
I would like to buy one of these as well. 'Come on Models by Design, please make this one as well'  ok2

yes, but please make it at the standardised scale of !;12 and not 1;10 as the other one is built at. {:-{ :(( :(( :((

This is a much better impression of what the new Shannon class is supposed to look like. Knowing the RNLI it will probably be altered again before the production boats are on station!!

Yes it's a great looking boat. I had chance to see the test tank model on the water at Poole 2 years ago. I'm with Neil on the scale if your going to make a model it needs to be in the traditional scale of 1:12 after all it's been the scale for model Lifeboats since 1850. Just hope the RNLI will let modellers have plans with enough information to get the hull shape right.
