heres my scratch build
i built her using an old door from a skip i was walking past one day, people are very suprised when i say that, goes to prove you can make pretty much anything form stuff you find, i made a fuel tank (empty of course) out of a bit of plastic tube with some balsa both ends to seal it and a screw for a filler cap, on the other side is the radiator (covering the servo)on top is a V8 with exhausts and bits of wire for the spark plugs, air intake and even fuel pipe and radiator hose (all from wire again
anyway..............
setup -
1600kv, outrunner (plenty of torque)
8" prop (spinning anti-clockwise)
60a esc (waterproofed/cooled by me)
3s, 5000mah lipo (gives me 21k rpm's)
this thing moves on the water, turn to sharp and she'll spin on her nose (i'm now in the process of converting a twin hatch coaster into an oil rig support ship)
