Ebay HK / China
« on: August 07, 2011, 10:36:08 pm »

Hi All
I brought X2 motor gearboxs from 2 diffrent sellers on ebay . One was in Hong Kong the other was in China. I brought them both on the same day 20\06\2011 neither of them have turned up. Both sellers have given full refunds so no problem there. I was wondering if any one elese has had problems with parcels from China or Hong Kong in the last few months. I in the past it has only taken a few weeks. I am not sure weather to try and reorder them or not.

John I have only ever used Gizmozone in H.K. for small geared motors for radars and it usually takes them about 7 -10 days to get here

I get bits from H/K /China in about 5/7 days some times it takes two weeks but it depends on when posted  I got several electrical items last week from http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/sureelectronics1/?_trksid=p4340.l2559
it took 6 days for 3 packages they where all free post.

USA is a pain these days  I have stopped buying unless I have to it used to be great now vat  plus £10 for the nice man to open the package and loose some of the parts.

John
I order parts from Hong Kong on a regular basis and with the exception of one company everything turns up when it should.

Recently ordered several non-boating items from China/Hong Kong. All arrived safely, but one seller included the following in his shipping email:

Shipping Delay due to tightened security measure of Hong Kong, new estimated shipping time is:
A) To United States,United Kingdom, Canada & Australia: 20-30 business days
B) To other countries: 25-35 business days

Here is related link : http://news.ebay.cn/hk/article_301.html

As you know, items may be delayed because of some unexpected reason on the way. If you haven’t received your items after the delivery time, please kindly CONTACT us for more help.
