U88- It has a 383 stroker under the hood (460 Hp) with a 2004r OD tranny.

SpamCanMan-No, it's an all original steel Ford.

Here's a pic of the motor and interior.

SpamCanMan-No, it's an all original steel 1933 Ford 3 window coupe.

Triumphjon- I built every inch of the car except the chop. It was chopped when I got it. I will say the guys who did chop it did an unbelievable job. The only way to tell where it was cut is by the color difference  between the lead and the steel.
We used one quart can of bondo on the entire car, then painted it black!!! You don't find bodies like that anymore.

U33-I originally put a 350 behind the 383. I would run like a scalded dog but hated to pass a gas station. I put the 200 in this past year and am now getting 20 mpg. Of course that is normal driving and not trying to burn the rubber off the rim.

Cheers!

I guess I have too many interest. So, I thought I would post a pic of my latest project.
I just completed it today.
It was an original 1953 Tokeim 39 gas pump I converted into a display case.
It is sitting in my office now but will go to my shop within the next day or so.

Not quite up to your standards but here is my "toy"

5.7L V8 with a mild tune... allegedly 425Bhp but I'm not certain of that

Essex2visuvesi:  Awesome vette!!!! I love it!

bat44:  No this isn't real California Kid.  Jerry and Jason Slover, who own's the original car, helped me create what is the closest thing to the original to date. My car was chopped sitting next to the original car taking dimensions directly from it so the Bonneville style chop was recreated perfectly. The slovers provided louver placment schmatics along with a profile of the original 4" domed lovers. I CNC machbined a louver die that creatd the louvers eactly as per the orignal.
Side and top profile photos were brought into a cad program and traced so the flames and font would be exact. Full size stensils were made to keep the fire perfect. The flames on the original car are not exactly the same, from side to side. We copied the imperfection!
The suspension is the same. The motor is a 383/200 4r rather than the 350/350 of the original.  And the interior is taupe leather instead of black.
Where Migel Reyes signed the original "Reyes '53" referencing the flame/pinstripping technique of Tommy the Greek as if done in 1953, we signed mine "Hudson '73" referencing the year the original was built.
I was honored to have it  picked from 350 entries to be featured on the TV show "CarCrazy" at this past SEMA show in Las Vegs.

Cheers!

It's not bad, it still needs some work doing as it looks better in the photographs.

I'm not keen on the wheels but really cant decide on what to go for  :((
