Last week I posted some pictures of my latest restoration project, as a helpful mayhem member told me this is a model of a Billings Admiral boat. I have successfully stripped the hull of its paint and sanded it down to its original wood, nice, solid and smooth and ready for a repaint.
Unfortunately the superstructure is a different story. I have attempted to strip the paint only to find that I think it has seen better days, it is very fragile and the wood is too soft and delicate to carry on with

I am wanting to track down a new/different superstructure for it as i would really like to complete this boat. I work in steel so wood is not my specialised material so trying to remake a new structure from scratch is out of the question for me. I know this kit is very old and discontinued now I believe so has anybody any suggestions to get my project back on track?
Hope you can help!
