hello there heres my build log so far of my billings white star my brother brought it orignaly but has now given up the hobby and gave me this boat so im still going to keep going at the hobby with my father :)
heres what came from ebay picctures




so my brother got it stripped all the old school gear out of it and gave me it heres pictures of items that came with it and removed items










when my brother gave it to me i had a good look over it and there was a few things the guy had done wrong as in the prop shaft was swinging in the wind servo was top high up and catching on cabin and cabing was all out shape nothing that couldnt be sorted with some new wood bit of time and some filler i wasnt happy with the motor or the prop so i went for a 25mm brass 3 blade prop from cornwall model boats which is very nice i may add instead of the standard 35mm plastic prop that came with it :s for the motor choice and some of you are going to laugh because my dad did i went for a sports tuned 540 my father said it would be well over powered me being me thought i would be right and dad would be wrong god was i soooooooooooo wrong it nearly ripped the boat to bits and just pulled back end under well we all learn lol heres a few pics of this







so dad adviced me to go for a 400 because it would still have some speed but it would be about right for the boat so it arerived from cornwall boats along with new coupling and mount then fitted and tested in our paddling pool found it sat to one side a bit so we had to add extra weight to one side




so after the pool tests went well dad said lets go off to the lake i had a go for bit and she went really well it has got the power in it still as im running it on lipos but it is nice on the water the prop is awsome gets on the plain nice decided to let the oldman have a go so i could get some pics














out of a 7.4 20c 2200mph i got 25mins run time :) so after yesterday on the lake i decided to get her in primer as its a nice day


i have some white to spray on it maybe tommorrow it says to do water line red im not really feeling red might do it black but dont no yet i am happy tho with how its coming along hope you enjoy the read and pics sorry about bad spelling and grammer before people complain comments welcome :)

One thing I found with the white star is to be gentle on reverse as it will fill the back deck quite easily

I have only got the speed control left now as rest sold, yeah it is a bit bad in reverse but as long as your sensible it's not to bad :)

hi i have done some more to the boat since and have nearly finished quite happy with how its turned out :) not bad little boat went to the lake sunday with dad just after i had finished planking and varnished it dad had his andrea gail out on the water was good day until i got attacked by gease lol hope u like just few bits to do till shes all done
