Good pictures, looks like you all had a nice day. You'll have to post next years events, wouldn't mind a trip up as not too far from me. Good luck anyway, Dave (yes another one). O0

Thanks for that, I'll have a look at your website and will hopefully come up in the new year. I know where you are, used to deliver up that way and sometimes had my break near the pool, Dave.  :-))

Thanks for posting up those Royal Iris images - I would have loved to have read the build log for those compound curves - is it on the web anywhere?

I'm only a few miles away in Huyton by the way ..............Lol, a trip to New Brighton was a big thing when I was a kid, especially the open air swimming pool.

The build of the Iris is actually in a Model Boats mag from a few years ago. It's made by Barry freeman, a modeller that really can't be equalled. he's also made Radio Caroline, again presented in the Model Boats mag, and HMS Argus which i believe has gone down south now

Having seen these lads at the Ellesmere Port show and being given a flyer, I was sticking there 2012 details up on The Model Warship Forum, http://rnwarships.informe.com/forum/ and on here (apologies if already posted) %%;  only to find no email contact to confirm the events are still occuring if someone was to head there closer to the date, only a postal address...Is there any advance on quicker contact to allow confirmation of events closer to the day, when Slow Mail can't be used. Maybe the SATNAV address of the pond as well.

Regards, Cloggie

BTW Here's 2012 events from the Flyer given out at the show.

May 25th Fun Day

April 22 Steering Competition

May 27th Liverpool Heart Fund Raising Event

June 24th Tug Towing

July 29th Warship Day

August 19th RNLI Fund Raising Day

September Fun Day

Other dates check website
