Something a bit different...but not too different
« on: August 06, 2011, 08:59:55 am »

I was sitting at home today when my 4 year old came up to me and asked "daddy can you change my Lego Fireboat in to a warship....like a transformer with big guns!"

So with the challenge set and a tin of grey spray paint in went to work on his bright red hull.

Not sure what class ship it is, maybe you could suggest something........give it 20 years the Navy will be building them!

Had a lot of fun with him building it, and I got a little attached to it, but I let him have the big gun on the front 'even though not to scale!' Only down side is that I have about run out of grey bricks....and a hull!

Have any of you had the pleasure of building a ship out of something a bit different?  du@@   fvjfo

Lego are missing a trick not producing military stuff!

Would make a fortune!

I know at least one 4 year old that would want them all!

I think you'll find that this is because Lego was (maybe still is) a family firm and they wanted to stick to family toys, not military ones. Personally, I'm with them on this and let's face it, it's not like the business has suffered too much as a result.
