Robbe Flexible Couplings

Hi.

Has anyone used these ? If so, what are your opinions?.

Thinking of using a pair of these on 815kv brushless out runners.

Personally I think the rubber coupling is far to short and they act more like a solid coupling , best bet is to go for the Mobile Marine Models couplings, far superior...

ukmike...it really depends on the application  :o

1. the coupling you display is designed to provide a resilience in motion between components in shaft rotation....not necessarily a shaft alignment issue :embarrassed:
2. an example of the coupling design concept......could be to eliminate the impulsive characteristics of an internal combustion engine

For a high power electric application....best copy a typical coupling they use  :-)) .......Derek

            Extremely good couplings  --  used them on tugs with 100mm props (in kortz nozzles) and high torque motors
            between 3000 -6000 rpm for many years.
