Yesterday went out to try some new TJ models CNC aluminium props I just got from Ian Folkstone of Ian's Boats.
I got in 3 sets of left and right hand rotation to use on my HPR 115 cat.
The series I got are called 1218, which look very much like Graupner K series and Octura X4 series.
The props come balanced and thin being CNC machined, so if you damage one the replacement is the same.
The props give a lot of lift, then onto the trial. Compared to running X442 the TJ 42mm made the cat run quicker and slightly more stable. Then onto the 45mm, it will be a fight take these props off the boat. Still accelerating on the straights at ELmbridge before I have to throttle back to start powering around the turn.
So go out and get your CNC props ! Reasonable price (£75 for 6 props), balanced, thin and light.

Hi David,

BMPRS next race is at Leicester on 25th September, it's a huge lake so would give your boat plenty of space to max out, would be nice to see some demo runs during our lunch break if you are free on that day

Any link to these props ?,where do they come from who makes them ? seen a few on ebay from China wonder if theyre the same ones.

I found these also on ebay not bad for a tad under £10 delivered,pitty he doesnt have many sizes in stock.

Hi Martin,
The one's that I'm am recommending are from TJ models which Ian brings in. One advantage I did not mention, you can have them made in increment of 1mm. The other ones from China I have not tried, but also cost more.

Certainly good to know as i will be looking for some props for my fast electric Arrow once i test a few plastic props to find a size she likes does he have them for drive dog setups for 1/4 shafts too?.

eny chance of some picks and specs of these cnc probs

Spec of the 3pairs I bought.
42 mm dia pitch 1.4 left and right rotation 2 blade
45 mm dia pitch 1.4 left and right rotation 2 blade
42 mm dia pitch 1.4 left and right rotation 3 blade
No chance of photos, I only take my cameras out when I go scuba diving on holidays. I might be at the next BMPRS at Leicester, so will have them with me. Then possible we might be able to get Danny to take some photos of them
What I like about these props are that no balancing is needed, very light, they work and I think good value (£12.50 each).

Thanks David ill be sure to give him a  ring when i need them i asume he can also get the bigger sizes too ?,the cnc alloy props are good ive tried a cpl in the bigger sizes with zenoahs,they were as good as any props ive tried.
