Don't forget that the Aerokits range were the fore-runners of the height of laziness range where ALL the bits didn't come in the box with a tupperware (F/glass or ABS/Styrene) hull. Although there were only two built full size, I wonder how many thousands (?) of the non descript Fire tenders (The propper one, 36") were sold.

Pretty useless, no running gear its an "extra".
Also doesn't post oustside UK.

Question is how many people ever use the running gear when supplied, most I know would bin it for there own specification..

Also with the hazards of posting outside of the UK for Ebay Sellers , Nore would I.

here are two restored  "original" aerokits Sea scouts  from the 60's/70's seen at the fireboat funday at southport....

i think Popeye's sea scout  in the foreground now runs a brushless set-up

and my blue/white sea scout uses the trusty graupner speed 600 (8.4v) on a 9.6v 8cell nimh   and goes like stink... its faster than a club 500 :}

The extra weight of the deck planking didn't do any harm then... looks really nice too..  :-)) what's the Speed Controller you use with that set-up?

Don't worry, just seen it in your post about the boat  :-))

Having visited your fair country 18 months ago WA I can see why you would want all the running gear with a kit as after trolling around all the shops I could find I found very little boat stuff of the kind we like , plenty on Billing  and scale non sailing boats etc,
as  far as the deck is concerned the one on the right may have it done as per the original kit with an Indian ink liner pen for planks.

Peter,
Yes you are right we are poorly served for model boat bits, car, planes no problem but boats well you have to be keen to keep at it and we really rely on mail order.
