« on: September 30, 2011, 08:51:27 am »

Anyone built one of these? any pictures of a finnished boat, what motor etc. is best?
I'm thinking inboard brushless with dummy outboard motor for steering.
Any tips, ideas etc?

The Lerso Atlantic 21 was based on the Gt Yarmouth inshore boat, the first one's was sold by HFM.

sorry, but you're incorrect there, i think..the lesro atlantic 21 has only ever been produced by Duplex/lesro........not HFM

I have an original kit in my shed, awaiting build, and it still has the original bill o' sale from Duplex.

neil.

Yes Lerso was the only one that sold the kit, but HFM did all the work setting up all the parts for the kit, I had one of the first, number 9 from HFM back in 1989, thanks to my late farther in law, I do think all of the moulding's was then sold on at a later date. I gave my one to a mate of mine from Yarmouth some time in the 1990's. just did not like it after the devoice.

OOOOOOOOOOO what a fool I am, only thing was my one did not have any crew or any RNLI markings, this was due to it being a pre release model.

Picked up a set of mouldings at Blackpool.
The tubes are a bit rough as pointed out by Andy, as the master is getting a bit tired.
I've fitted a KMB jet drive with one of their motors, so it's not going to be an RNLI RIB !!

A few pictures to show the progress.
Not been painted properly yet, might have a test run this week,It's been on the garden pond but no room to let go of it.
