Smoke generator and single cylinder sound
« on: October 06, 2011, 05:24:25 pm »

Can anyone help?  I am looking to create a model with a single cylinder sounding engine and an exhaust which puffs intermittently.  Is it possible to do this? Does anyone know of a unit which is manufactured to create smoke with on and off puffs.
What is the best way to get the sound of a single cylinder motor?
I am keeping my fingers crossed. :-))

Technobots Ltd or Action for the sound and MMB for the smoke unit, the Mk2 has an ESC built in so 'Puffs' to the engine speed..

To my knowledge the MMB unit does not puff but produces (steam) effect at an amount proportional to speed of motor. If you look on the traders section Sep 29th, Richards models is selling a unit with puff effect. This is more advanced than the mmb unit. But is twice the price. The Richards model unit appears to have the same features of the long demised JJC unit. John.

As Ryan said, Technobots new sound unit should fit the bill.

Try Dave at ACTion, his  "Noisy Thing" can be programmed with any sound that you would like, I think that will solve your sound problem & give you 8 more sounds as well, all for the same price. Mick B.
