Hi every one. Please be made aware that there is a guy making out he is selling a 1/8th scale Trent Class lifeboat. He is claiming that his grand father built it and that his name was Peter. We bid on this lifeboat and won the item on Sunday. The guy was going to deliver it today, but has given one excuse after another.

He already had our money and wanted us to leave his feedback before we got the item. We became very wary of this. This is not how ebay and paypal work. He is claiming that it is not Ron Patterson's Trent, so here are two links, one from Mayhem showing Ron and his boat (scroll down the page) and one from ebay.

Let me know what you guys think. Pay special attention to the colour of the ropes in the forward hatch and also the stand.
Can we have two people in Britain build very thing identical?

It does say on the original listing at the bottom

"Any offer will be accepted. Relisted on behalf of my husband due to delivery problems "

But as others have said ...

Get your claim in quickley with Ebay / paypal.. Notice account only open september 2011... It could be genuine, these things happen..But..

It's obviously the same boat...
Are we saying the boat has been stolen and offered for sale, or the ebayer doesn't have the boat, just the pictures and it is a complete con?

That's definitely Ron's 1/8 Trent and I remember him saying that he'd never sell it, got to be fraud and time for the police. Dave.

slow down chaps the guys address is on the listing if you google maps it you will see the house so the address does exist although that's not to say he lives there your better off emailing him and getting a landline phone number to speak to him personally.

yep, your right he uses his mobile to advertise also if you look at what he's sold and bought it's just cheap tat to build up some feedback
