Please could someone give me advice on this boat which my dad passed on to me, i am a total noob when it comes to model boats and it is all new to me so i would like advice of anybody on here who might know anything about this boat.

It Mesures: 115cm Long and 100cm tall and 22cm Wide

Very Dusty at the moment as it has been stored years

This Picture shows a green toy brick (NO IT NOT MENT TO BE THERE LOL) i have put this here to support the 3rd mast as it need re nailing as they have come lose (should be an easy fix)

Has a Green and black hull with white pinstripes

Really good features on the deck as you can see

I think it is all brass trimmed aswell, as you can see i dont know much this is why i need your help to find out a bit more about. I want prices, make etc if you know. There is no name on it anywere including stand as i have looked.

Thanks for your help and advice in advance!

It looks like a recent(ish) commercially built model as many of the deck parts and hardware are stock, non scale parts used on all the Far East imports (see Nauticalia range for example). Probably of the schooner "Atlantic"

Definitely agree with Chris J, it's a modern, Far Eastern made, semi-scale display model, and so definitely not old or rare. I'd say it still has some second-hand value though, even with the damage - as it's a big and impressive "nautical ornament" (and these models aren't cheap new) and is large enough to have some potential for R/C conversion, assuming the hull is hollow rather than a solid carved block of wood!

Thank You to Edward Pinniger, and yes the hull is hollow and not solid so yes it should be able to be coverted to r/c!

I AM GOING TO GIVE IT A REALLY GOOD CLEAN AND THEN PUT NEW PICTURES ON!

AND THEN:
Are you allowed to sell on Model Boat Mayem??
