Billings Boat Calypso model number 560.
« on: November 14, 2011, 05:43:57 pm »

I have purchased the above model boat from the UK.
Can anybody tell me whether there should be written instructions with colour guide included with this kit as my certainly does not have any..
What I do have are assembly diagrams of different sizes and a diagram [large]!of motor and radio control assembly and large diagram of finished boat  with numbers presumably to use as a colour guide but have no clue what the numbers represent colour wise!
I think I am missing an instruction manual .
Has anyone purchased this kit?if so did yours contain written instruction manual with colour guide etc etc.
I am based in Cape Town South Africa so it is difficult to access the correct information here!
Thanks!!Dave.

This is all you get from Billings, their instructions stink. I have purchased two of their kits & could not believe how poor the instructions are. The newest kit the Fairmount Alpine is worse than the Smit Nederland which is the older of the two kits, This confirms to me that they have no intension of improving their build instructions. For that reason I will not buy anymore Billings kits. It is a disgrace to pay that high a price for a kit & get no proper instructions with it. They are NOT listening to their customers. Model Slipway seems to have the best instructions if you go by comments on this forum. Mick B.
