Can anybody tell me if Colin Gross (believed to be a member of the Berrylands Model Boat Club in 1977) is still about?
Cheers,
Rich

He was certainly an active member of our club at the time but I haven't heard of him for very many years so I don't think he is still active in boating.
Did you have a particular query about his models?

Hi Colin,
Not as such, I wanted to ask for his permission to post up his article in the May '78 issue of Model Boats on the 'Ross Winans' DSRV he built on the AMS forum.

Rich,
I doubt if anyone will worry about you reproducing a 33 year old article. I remember when he brought it along to Berrylands.
There were some guys who did quite amazing things back then that few people could match now and they were working with 27 mhz sets and none of todays gizmos. If they wanted something they simply made it!

Fair enough Colin, thanks very much.
You're quite right in what you say...27mHz Futaba M's, no servo reversing capabilities, those little 'deac' battery packs, servos the size of a house brick...memories, memories!!
Thanks again Colin,
