you can see how simple is to make a craft..it spans in to 62 inches, and the wing is made of thermocol..

I think in another pseudonym he told us thermocol is another name for expanded polystyrene
If this is the case keep acetone well away  {-) {-)

Sir, the wing is made out of thermocol..(EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE)..and laminated with poor quality tissue, with acrylic emulsion, to get a high stiff wing..shape was achieved by sanding with hand, while keeping a template in hand, made of scraped paper...it was reinforced with fishing lines, from inside, and painted with water based exterior wall emulsion..my intention was to fix this wing on a craft with 46 engine, from OS. but it is flying like a dream with a simple 1000 RPM /Volt ECM.very stable and forgiving..the wing structure is far stiffer than balsa, or plywood construction, and absorbing loads of hits without any major breakage..and can repair simply..spans in to 64 inches..thickness 1.7 inches..i laminated two 1 inch sheets ..and total cost of this craft, except electronics is mere 5 dollars..took five, because i used balsa for fuselage..if it was by thermocol, the expense will be in 2 dollars...but she behaves cool all the while, and will land even without motor power...i am happy that at last i made a flyer that in my dream...so have some nice crafts to you all...and HAPPY X MAS to you all.... :-))
