Hi all

Im toying with the idea of building a bait boat, i know there are a few posts about. Im going to buy a hull, possibly a Cat style and wondered what exactly i needed to go in
I do have aircraft but not sure what applys to boats, mabe if i said what i wanted somebody could help??

2 Electric props - I want to be able to spin on its own axis if poss
Lights Front and back and one each side to confirm bait dropped
2 Bait hoppers idependantly able to drop

How many channels would i need?
What sort of esc?
What battery / voltage for the power

I want to use a 2.4ghz system if poss to eliminate interferance

Regards

Hi Welcome to the forum

Right been there had the Tee shirt etc with Home made bait boats got 3 in the workshop and have given up on them and went out and bought a cheap Procat Bait Boat on Ebay that needed work on it.It works spot on and believe you me it was CHEAPER than building my own.
That does not mean that if you build your own it wont work, yes you will need some electronics see ACTion website Dave is on here and WILL help he has on His site wiring diagrams of Bait boats. You will Defo need a Minimum of 4 channels.
1 would be FWD
2 Left right the bait.
3 left hopper
4 right hopper
The Lights to indicate hopper release would be simple as a micro switch on the servo release would show you it had dropped.Night time running lights could be done by means of a switch. As for batts it would really depend on the size of the hull.
