has any one used one of these hull iam thinking of ordering one to build a freelance tug on it

There is something wrong with the draft on this drawing ?  Not really adapted for towing purpose !

Judging by its front, looks more like a berthing tug than one for towing perhaps?

I think  the scale is deceiving, its a large tug  if its Canadian, probably ice strengthened. Cannot find any details of the full size vessel. I have a similar hull ingrp, never been built, thought it maybe a naval tug, but a possibility its this or very similar.

hi fletch  a guy  from my club built one  a good few years back now (sorry no photos)   it made into a nice tug  but the only problem was the size of the beam  it was a bit 'tender' in any wind  while he sailed it  being 38inch long & only 8inch beam

it wont be any good at fleetwood with the wind then i have since got hold of a aeronaut torben kit thanks

I think Xtian29 has spotted the problem, namely the plan waterline, if the stern draft was made deeper again say halfway between planned waterline and deck level, she would be more realistic, turn better and have better stabilty.
