My Fire boat project
« on: January 04, 2012, 08:14:41 pm »

As promised here are some pictures of my new build which I am making into my own designed fireboat.

I decided to make this model as I had an old Billings Admiral 41" hull lying around which is what got me started, I have wanted to design my own superstructure for a while now and have at last got round to it!

the boat is already running off a single Torpedo 850 motor and has got plenty of speed to it, as from my last post this was going to be a large police boat but I decided that i wanted a fireboat instead in my collection.
I have ordered all the lettering and decals to be put on this boat as well as the fire monitors and other fittings.

Hope you like it so far!  :-)

Nice model Nige52! you must be proud of that one.

Mine has now had a few coats of paint and I have used minature aluminium treadplate for the deck. tommorow I will be putting in the window glazing and fitting its fire & rescue signage, I have ordered some working blue flashing led lights and I have nearly finished building its mast which will hopefully look good when its on.  :-)
