I built this model when it first came out but used a 385 motor still way over scale speed and still in use today just had it's third repaint and still with the same motor and a bobs board speed controller.
Had a gentleman come up to me at a show who was the armourer for the Hurricane.
It was fixed to a rocket powered sledge containing thirteen rockets and provided eleven of them fired it got off his words not mine.
Try you your library for The Catafighters & Merchant Aircraft Carriers by Kenneth Poolman sbn 7183 0052 I
I tried the Royal Navy, Fleet Air Arm and Greenwich maritime museum for photos but only managed to get half a dozen in all.
hope this helps Yours Brian

Brian,
many thanks for your help, it's great when you meet up with someone who has a connection with your model by 'being on the real thing'.  I will try and source the book you recommended but wondered if there is a general book/web site which gives examples of rigging for merchant ships of this period.  My CAM ship to has been around for a while, and like yours has a 'Bob's board' speed control, I'm taking it to the Brighton show so am in the process of giving it a bit of a clean up.  many thanks again Roger
