Gold Lettering, Decal or otherwise wanted .....
« on: April 12, 2012, 08:56:41 am »

I'm looking to put some gold lettering on the transom of my Sea Scout but I need to include lower case letters. Has anyone any ideas where I could get something suitable, either decals or some other form ?   I realise I could get printable decal paper but then there's the difficulty of getting a decent gold effect.....  {:-{

Any ideas gratefully received.  O0

Your local van lettering company will have gold (shiny like chrome) and other material like gold paint effect . He/she should be able to computer cut down to model size.   I`m sure we have a member on Mayhem that offers this service.

You'll never believe this.  I have just been on Google for Signs to print off myself.  Type in 'Pictures of signs and symbols'  in the search box.

There's everything (and it's Mother) on there.  I am going the "print your own on sticky paper" route myself.

If it's just letters then Adobe Photoshop is the answer. However, the result has to printed out and this is dependant on the material.  Mine is white sticky card, so scissors or a medical scalpel might be the answer around the said letters.

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot chaps, I didn't realise that one of the sponsors did those, note to self  " Must read Sponsor's List ! "  %)  A couple of people have offered to help too, so I may well get something sorted.  :-))

 Yep I agree Barry is the way to go.I have used his "made to measure" service on quite a few occasions,and have always found him to be helpful and obliging, and he does produce a first class product.
