Hi All,
I have just retruned from the Dortmund show and on the Revell stand was the
new "updated" flower class Corvette..................if you were looking for an upgrade well forget it
the only thing that has changed is the price 120euros (about £110)

After looking over it I could not see any differance, I asked a rep and he did not know of any upgrades or changes.
It is still Snowberry.

it is expected to be out in August
I really hope they had an old model on display and they are still working on the upgrades
because I cannot see how they can justify a huge price increase without it

The word on the street was that they were going to add some brass fittings.  There were several things they could improve a lot - like the ventilator and pop-pom bandstand thicknesses. It would be nice to have the right number of lights on the engine-room hatch, and they could have developed a removable superstructure suitable for radio control...

I also heard they were going to be supplying it with a wooden deck.

heard the same rumours
and saw the same old matchbox kit

From what I have read in various modelling magazines the kit will have:

wooden deck
turned aluminium barrels for all guns (4inch, 2pdr pompom, and oerlikons)
brass railings
improved refineness of the overall kit (no idea how they will do that considering the kit is over 30years old)

Even at £110 I find that rather expensive considering when I bought the Revell version about 15years ago the price was about £40.
I only hope that Revell are hiding something to make it worth while.

Sounds like the only upgrade is the box and the price then!!
