Kingsbury Model boat club 40th Anniversary is happening on the 1st July this year!

We are having an open day at the pool side Kingsbury water Sports Park and ALL clubs and modellers are invited.

•   There will be events held throughout the day
•   Scale
•   Fast electrics
•   ICs
•   Offshore
•   Hydro
•   War ships
•   Steam powered
•   Sail
•   Tugs

Prizes will be awarded for the event winners and there will be a raffle held.
Kingsbury members will plan to dress up in World War 2 British costumes (not compulsory) and all are welcome to join in after all it is the year of the jubilee!
We are inviting traders (subject to permission) so hopefully all of your favourite bits and bobs will be there to serve your needs!

I would also like to add that Kingsbury Water Park is a perfect family park with a cafe and toilets on site a short walk away from our boat lake. There is a huge revised childrens park for the little ones and a nature trail to walk around. Also, we have a small train that offers rides around the park and hopefully it will be active on the day, providing the weathers good it should be!
There are also other lakes with real sized boats to view so its a perfect day out!

On behalf of Chasewater Model Boat Club, Id like to thank you and your club team for all their efforts today. It was a fantastic event, well organised and nice to see so many different boats on display both on and off the water.

Thank you Sally, Malcolm, Robin and everyone who chipped in to make this a very enjoyable event.
I had a great time seeing all the different types of boat and all the modellers having such a good time.
Even the rain dared not make an appearance!

I can only agree with what Danny and Steve have said above.....a really pleasant day out, ran like clockwork, many thanks to all at Kingsbury although I fear Danny must have been asleep under his brolly and missed the few drops of rain

An excellent variety of boats....brill
I hope we are all around for the 50th celebrations

Brilliant day, brilliant venue, reasonable weather (just a shower around lunchtime, not even enough to make the ground wet!!!) what more can we ask for.... Already looking forward to next year!!!

Hi all,
Thanks for your marvellous feedback!
I'm afraid navy day hasn't been a success over the last few years so Kingsbury are planning on making the day open to all models just as the anniversary was.
The pictures are yet to come! I didn't get a chance to take any myself but some are in the post to me from Bernard Holder and i'm sure Judith took some I can upload here!
I hope to see you all next year if we run a fun/open day lakeside!
Any problems/queries or thanks let me know!
