I would contact electronize direct, who usually offer a great service, they could directly "put pressure" on the offending vendor

I dont think its electronize, hes on about the model shop its self ( i know the model shop as its local to me and i dont use them unless they have what i want in stock, because i have also had bad service from them in the past )

Like said above jon maybe contact electronize and tell them the model shop isnt sortin the problem out

So, why not go into the shop, ask for a supervisor/man in charge/boss/whoever....ask nicely when your problem will be dealt with, and if fobbed off with excuses again, then create merry hell in the shop...describe in a very loud voice (so everyone in the shop can hear) what's happening (or what's NOT happening) threaten to call the local newspaper and refuse to leave the shop until you have either a new esc(s) in your hand or have something in writing, and witnessed by another customer, that says that the shop is doing something about the issue. Threaten to call the local radio station as well, and start mentioning such things as legal representation, etc. In general...make a complete nuisance of yourself in the shop and make sure that other customers in the shop know why.

Oh...and take a camera and a pocket voice recorder and make a great show of recording everything that's said to you and take photographs (with the flash on)....make your point loudly and make sure everybody hears it. And have a notebook handy and write lots of stuff in it...especially names.

I'm sure Electronize  won't be none to pleased to hear one of their agents are providing such a poor service... but make sure of your facts first.... mistakes and misunderstanding do happen.

unfortunatly its the shop thats giving the very poor service , every time i visit i ask if its been sent , even though its on full veiw & i know its not gone back ! id like to shop locally & see what im buying before making a purchase , but with such poor service its time to recover the goods ( send them myself ) and start purchasing elsewhere .

Sorry Stavros, but I will come to the defence of Electronise all the time..........I have been using their speed controllers in my boats since I built my first lifeboat 17 years ago, and wouldn't use any other....their service is second to none, their after sales care is second to none....even repairing two esc's free of charge (and out od guarrentee) when weed in the local lake had clogged the pond) AND   they sponsored me with two beefed up esc's for my Loch ness sail...............so I'll argue that point all day and all night.........as has been said  before it's the shop's fault, and Electronise should be made aware of their sub standard service

For any new goods purchased, the initial guarantee period is covered by the place of purchase. Only when this period is exceeded should you contact the manufacturer for service. Perhaps the shop is baulking its responsibility? How old is the unit?

If that's the offending article, no wonder the shop has not sent it to Electronize!

MTronics sometimes don't honour the warranty if the leads have been chopped.

Didnt think Mtronics would cover repairs if the leads had been cut.

That seems a straightforward solution. Ask Electronize to investigate. They are an independent third party with an interest in the outcome, and the power to tell the model shop what to do if they want to remain as an agent. You wouldn't even need to get involved....

ive collected the unreturened escs , and they will be posted tommorrow back to the manufaturers with covering letters , as for the mtroniks unit having its cables cut , yes the motor ones were shortened as there is less than 3 inches between the motor & esc , but its in direct line with a sail arm servo travel . however the power leads were actually increased in length and had a fuse fitted in line . the controller was working fine until one of the thin wires to the switch has broken where it enters / exits the casing . jon

i find this very hard to belive that the shop would produce bad service , they have always been second to none for me i turn up just after  closing times they still let me in to get the stuff  if im short of the money they will let me come back another day to pay the rest off   the main worker in the shop has built a sub for me fixed speed controlers replaced 1 of them in the shop and it was my fault it blew  and does no one wonder why jon still hasnt  told papers press or m troniks beacause im sure he knows its not the model shops fault i am willing to take a bullet for the model shop and if i had enough money would by every thing i need new from them  >>:-(
rant over . period.
