Its called "Blackpool and Fylde Model Boat Club".
We launch and sail in the area adjacent to the St Pauls Avenue car park, normally Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings, evenings because of the predatory nature of the car park attendants.  Strong winds and scale models don't really mix, we are somewhat sheltered from the prevailing wind, but exposed to others.
We have recently gained some Laser sailers, details here  http://www.rclasers.com/  with their proposed calendar.  They have their course laid out in the main body of the lake, north and west of the large island.  Of course, they like it windy.

what time the the car park attendants leave i think charging for parking that far down is a micky take by fyle council my wifes disabled and we tried to park on st annes pier only to be told if you want to park you have to pay theres no disabled parking here so we went round the life boat station instead because we could park and had a lot better time

thanks brian

Charging ends at 18:00.  There are some disabled bays by the top of the path going down to the lake.  Its about 100 yards that way - we usually park nearer and waddle down the grassed slope.
