Got this one on the shelf to RC one day

One of our neighbours in Finland has a full size one of these languishing in his barn.  Would so love to get my hands on it

the king hauler is a nice model mate im more of a European man myself ilove scanias  .
the dragon kett is a very hard model to radio control so I have been told its a stunning kit though I had a brand new boxed one and sadly let it go . I still have a dragon PAK antitank gun fully built and sitting on the shelf .
you should steal that kett form the barn worth a fortune now  :-))

Neighbour came to visit today and wants me to help him do some renovation work on the house as he is planning on selling up and moving to somewhere smaller (he's over 70) and has said if I help him do the work I can have it :D

Found out a bit of history about it.... It was brought back from Russia as a "spoil" of war by his Uncle after WW2.  It was then used as a farm runabout for several years but parts were hard to come by, so it was laid up.  he then inherited it from his Uncle in the late 60's and its sat in his shed ever since.  Though he has managed to source several parts.  Most important being a new set of tracks
He told me that he knows its quite valuable but he would prefer to let it go to someone who will keep it and not turn a quick buck on it.

Will go and take a proper look tommorow and see quite how bad it is.... I will of course try to take pictures

If you get a real Kettenkrad I will be insanely jealous!   ok2
I have always wanted to restore one of those and take it to shows and maybe drive it to work occasionally!, they look so much fun.

Apparently there were quite a few brought into Finland from Russia after the war

Been speaking to my father in law about it this evening, should be fun to take to snow mobile meetings.

A good one will fetch £75,000, but there are many basket cases around fetching far less.
Be aware tho you are looking at in excess of £10,000 for a refurbed set of tracks.
