Hello each,having watched the goings on from afar i thought it about time that i joined in.Ihave not made many boats a PT 15 which i have altered as i did'nt like the bow with it's gun pit ,i removed it and improved it. I'm also building the Bismarck and have been through a difficult time with her, i'm at present building the upper decks and girding up my loins for another go at the second layer of planking ,are you still building the ship Martin?
                          What thoughts do you crewmen have on powering her i have chosen two 385s a viper 15 esc and Hi-tec transmitter and reciever in 40 mhz with single servo for steering, phew what a mouthfull .thanks for listening. Splasher 1.

Hi Splasher,

Welcome to the Mayhem!

.... I still have nightmares about the Bismarck planking, ultimately satisfying but truly frustrating. I finished it then the whole build has been on hold ever since....  {:-{

Your power train sounds about right but you may wish to invest in a second Viper speed controller as the rudder is small and she'll have a huge turning circle.

Hi Seegull and welcome to Mayhem. We have a few members from Canada as there is great community of model boat builders  in your neck of the woods.

You're welcome to post any pictures of your boats as we'd love to see them.

regards
