Thanks,
I did try to sell it collect only on ebay but nobody even bid for it .I had it there for 2 weeks. I think people who don't know about models dont know how much they are worth. I payed over £1000.00 for this and put it on ebay for £300.00. I got one email,

I think you wont have much luck with model shops. Try the antique and nautical memorabilia dealers.  There are specialist auction houses for  this type of model even if it is not an antique but  is  of historical interest. There is such a dealer in the Naval Dockyard Portsmouth.

You would be better selling her out of the modelling community.
Static sailing ships are notoriously difficult to sell unless in a display case.
The cases can be expensive if you don't make it yourself to a good standard.
I would try the Nautical part of ebay first, then "Antique Shops".
The shop in the Portsmouth Dockyard is : http://www.antiques-storehouse.co.uk/
they sell at very high prices but don't know about buying.

Try this man.............he has been selling maritime models and maritime artifacts for over 30 years, and was once an assiciate with Chrities of London/America and Asia fort many years............he will give honest free estimates of whar the model is worth and will (if the model is of good quality) put into his auctions held in spring and autumn each year............I have sold a good number with him over the years, and he obtains decent prices for them.

He is also based in London, and has other contacts if he can't enter into his own auctions.
