Placement of attenuator
« on: September 10, 2012, 10:43:01 am »

I have now completed an attenuator for my steam plant and need advice on placement.
Do I include a siphon in the steam feed to the attenuator?
Next to the boiler or the gas supply?
Thanks in anticipation.

Adding a syphon to the steam line of the attenuator is a good idea, especially if the membrane is rubber. You don't really need a loop syphon, just a length of pipe that goes up and down for a few cm.

I'd say mount the attenuator where it is easy to reach when the plant is in the hull, but try not to make the steam line excessively long.
