I'm putting a fiver on it either sinking or getting lost. Either way, there's no way whatsoever a 20" boat could manage the atlantic
That's what makes it a challenge. My fiver would be with your fiver, but who would we get to take it on, and what sort of odds would we get? Incidentally, the last and only time I had a proper bet on, I was assured by the father in law of a part owner of the nag that they had been assiduously building the odds on it, but in the race with my money on, it fell over somewhere between start and first, and was put down.
I know that there is a plane that can grab enough to motor through the night, but it has a gigonormous area for very little weight. On the ocean surface, that sort of surface area could not self support and survive being swatted by a big wave. I suspect its best chance is navigating from the West Indies to Europe along the Gulf Stream - I suspect that if launched from Europe, it will be be found, if at all, by a native Norwegian speaker.
